Terms of Use
These Terms govern your use of Nirelia (“Service”), provided by the operator of Nirelia (“we”). Use the Service only after agreeing to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
1. The Service
Nirelia is a local-first work-support app for managing customer profiles, visits, notes, photos, and audio on a device and, when selected, receiving AI-generated transcripts and customer-information candidates. AI may be wrong. A candidate is never written to a customer profile without your review and explicit approval.
2. Your responsibility for recording
Before recording, you must satisfy every notice, consent, venue rule, privacy, communications, employment, and other legal requirement that applies. We do not determine whether a particular recording is lawful.
3. Device storage and backups
Core data and audio are generally stored on your device. Audio retention may be set to 7, 14, or 30 days, or unlimited. Unlimited audio is not automatically deleted. You are responsible for preventing loss from device failure, loss, or insufficient storage.
.nirelia backups are not encrypted. They may contain customer information, photos, conversation-derived notes, recording metadata, and—if selected—audio. Use only trusted storage and verify every recipient.
4. AI processing
When you request AI analysis, selected audio is sent to our Backend and OpenAI. VAD and FFmpeg may adjust the audio window sent onward. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, speaker identification, dates, or proper names. Verify important information against the original audio and the facts. Backend results not received by your device are deleted after acknowledgement or no later than 14 days.
5. Authentication, Analytics, and billing infrastructure
Firebase Anonymous Authentication and App Check support request authentication and abuse prevention. Firebase Analytics is used for usage events that exclude customer and conversation content. RevenueCat aggregates Store product, entitlement, and renewal state; our Backend verifies that state.
6. Plans and usage
- Free: manual customer records, visits, recording, and on-device search; no AI analysis.
- Pro: 30 hours of AI analysis per paid period.
- Pro+: 80 hours of AI analysis per paid period.
- Max: 150 hours per paid period; no trial.
- Extra 10h: ten additional hours for active paid subscribers. Base allowance is used first and unused extra time carries over renewal.
Usage is charged by selected raw-recording duration, not VAD-filtered duration. Analysis does not start if the entire selection cannot fit within the available allowance.
7. Trial
Where the Store and RevenueCat report eligibility, Pro and Pro+ include a 14-day trial with a total of five hours of AI analysis. At the end of the trial, it automatically renews at the monthly price displayed when it began. Cancel by the Store’s deadline to avoid the next charge. Using all five hours blocks further AI analysis during the trial but does not start paid access early.
Starting paid access early requires a deliberate price-bearing action such as “Start Pro now,” followed by explicit confirmation in the Apple or Google purchase sheet. “Not now,” viewing a screen, retrying, or reaching the usage cap does not charge you.
8. Prices, renewal, and plan changes
Target Japanese prices are ¥5,980/month for Pro, ¥12,800/month for Pro+, ¥22,800/month for Max, and ¥2,980 for Extra 10h. The localized price, currency, tax, period, and trial eligibility shown by the Store before confirmation control. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Store rules generally apply upgrades immediately and downgrades at the next renewal.
9. Cancellation and refunds
Cancel through Apple App Store or Google Play subscription management. Uninstalling the App does not cancel a subscription. Store-approved access may continue through the end of the paid period. Refunds, reversals, and payment issues follow the policies and process of the Store where you purchased. We cannot directly refund a Store transaction.
10. Prohibited conduct
- Recording or processing personal information without required consent or authority
- Illegal, fraudulent, harassing, or rights-infringing use
- Bypassing authentication, App Check, usage, billing, or security controls
- Overloading, interfering with, probing, or extracting secrets from the Backend
- Unauthorized use of another person’s device, backup, or account
11. Changes and availability
We may modify or suspend all or part of the Service for maintenance, incidents, third-party changes, legal compliance, or safety. Local-first data may remain on your device, while network functions such as AI, billing sync, or contact may become unavailable.
12. Disclaimers and limitation
The Service is provided as is. We do not guarantee AI results, complete preservation, uninterrupted availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Verify important information and keep appropriate backups. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit or opportunity, or damage resulting from your management of a device or backup. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be limited under consumer or other mandatory law.
13. Age, changes, and governing law
You must be old enough under the laws where you live to evaluate the contract and recording consent. Material changes will be communicated appropriately, and we may request consent when required by law. Subject to mandatory law that applies to you, these Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
